Art is a vital, life-enriching celebration of humankind’s creative history; through it, stories and events from times past and present are told, explored, and challenged. Art ignites imaginations. It makes us feel; it makes us think. Art sows the seeds of creativity, feeds the hunger for beauty and meaning, and connects us with others in ways nothing else can.
Please help us bring all of these experiences to our community. Support the visual arts with a gift to the Southern Ohio Museum! To make a donation, please contact us at (740) 354-5629.
There are many ways to give and support the programs and exhibitions at the Southern Ohio Museum. The income generated from the Museum’s endowment does not meet the annual financial needs of the Museum, thereby requiring the need for an active annual fundraising effort.
The Museum accepts support exhibitions, facility enhancements and top level educational programming for all ages.
Tax-deductible gifts to the Museum may be made in the form of cash, appreciated assets, property, securities, charitable trusts, life insurance, or estates. These gifts benefit the Museum and the community and assure the Museum may continue to operate to its fullest potential.
Opportunities to help support the Southern Ohio Museum:
- Contribute a gift to the Acquisition Fund in the memory of someone or in celebration of life events to be used to purchase a piece of artwork for the collection.
- Make a non-restricted donation to the general operating fund.
- Make a planned gift: these gifts ensure that all future generations will experience the Southern Ohio Museum, its collections, and programs for years to come. The Museum appreciates every opportunity to work with you, and your advisors, to plan a gift, estate gift, or to realize your charitable goals. Meet with Museum Directors Mark Chepp or Charlotte Gordon at your convenience by calling the Museum at 740-354-5629, or by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
