Cirque d’Art

Cirque d’Art exists to mentor individuals physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially to attain positive self-esteem and self-confidence in a safe, enjoyable, and instructional performing arts environment. Cirque d’Art respects the value of every individual regardless of socio-economic status, special needs, education level, ethnic origin, shape or size.

Now in its thirteenth season, Cirque d’Art Theatre is located at 412-414 Chillicothe Street and is home to over 250 circus arts students. Cirque d’Art Theatre is a performing arts affiliate of the Southern Ohio Museum.

Classes

250 students train every week in evening and weekend classes with instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, tumbling and circus aerials (trapeze, cloud swing, aerial ladder, triple trapeze, Spanish web and Roman rings). Sliding scale fees range from $15 to $45. Call for more information.


Commitment to Excellence

Staff and students of the Cirque d’Art Theatre stage three original productions every year.


Teen Opportunities

After three years of training in the Cirque program, teenagers may be employed as assistant instructors under the direction of Pegi Wilkes and Trisha Schmidt. Assistant instructors are capable, strong, motivated, and dedicated young adults who teach younger students and provide spotting for their safety.


Scheduling a Performance
