The Vanishing American Landscape: Cirkut Photography of Richard Malogorski

December 1, 2018 – January 30, 2019

Richard Malogorski travels throughout small town and rural America with his Cirkut and 8 x 10 cameras, documenting the interiors and exteriors of churches, school houses, machine shops,  and small groceries. He produces large format, silver gelatin photographs that encapsulate, not only the breathtaking beauty, but also the places that are disappearing from the American landscape. The Cirkut camera, produced from 1904-1949, creates panoramic images up to 90” long.
