The last day to visit the Southern Ohio Museum prior to construction closure is Saturday, September 7. The Museum will be open from 1:00 – 5:00.

On September 7, 1:00 – 3:00, there will be a closing reception for A New World: Women To Watch. This event is open to the public.

The Museum expects to be closed for approximately twelve-month during renovation and construction. 

Please visit the Museum YouTube station, SOMACC VIDEOS for virtual offerings. Collection objects and building progress will be posted on our social media accounts.

We are eager to reopen with expanded space for the permanent collection and a new gallery for temporary exhibitions.!

ACKERMAN COLLECTION

Access to the Ackerman Collection of historic photographs is available online. New photographs are continually being uploaded to the site. The link is available in the collections menu. 

CONCERTS

We anticipate the Hopkins Theater remaining opening during most of the construction process. Please follow our social media for concert listings.
